CHECKING MACHINE
This machine is complete and fully operational. We have the 5 drums necessary to work with any German Army or Airforce 3 wheel Enigma. This machine is vital when it comes to finding a valid Bombe 'stop'. With it further steckers and the daily wheel settings can be found.
At a later date we will complete the assembly of a further 3 drums.
For those who ask why 4 drum positions; this is because Checking Machines were made capable of 4 wheel German Navy Enigma work. In our case the left hand drum has 'straight through' connections and never needs to be rotated. The reflector on the Checking Machine takes the form of a 26 way plug that can be seen on the left end of the machine with an orange label. This is suitably wired; normally to 'B'.
